At ASR ODAC, we believe in our vision: “Be a Land Master, Be a Sea Conqueror.” Through our activities, students develop the BRAVO spirit—Brave, Resourceful, Adventurous, Versatile, and Outgoing. More than just essential qualities for any outdoor enthusiast, these traits are highly relevant in today’s world. Whether navigating complex challenges, adapting to new environments, or leading in a fast-changing society, the BRAVO spirit equips students with resilience, creativity, and confidence. These qualities empower them to tackle academic, professional, and personal challenges with a growth mindset.
Our members take charge of planning and executing weekly sessions and major events*, under the guidance of our dedicated CCA teachers. They must consider safety, well-being, and growth—both their own and their peers’—as they design activities that test their skills and adaptability. As they execute their plans, students develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, making real-time decisions in response to changing weather, time constraints, and sometimes unforeseen challenges.
ASR ODAC members gain hands-on experience in a wide range of outdoor skills, including first aid, orienteering, knots and lashing, outdoor cooking, kayaking, and physical conditioning. These skills prepare them for exciting adventures such as pioneering, orienteering competitions, camping at Pulau Ubin, night cycling, kayaking and trekking trips.

Game faces on! 🗺️⏳ ODACians intensely study their maps, strategising their best routes just moments before the start of the National Orienteering Race (Schools). In this individual challenge, every decision counts – speed, precision, and quick thinking will make the difference!
Team spirit in action! 💪💦 Two ODACians work together as they carry a jerry can towards Jelutong Campsite in Pulau Ubin, while a CCA teacher coordinates the distribution of the other supplies with their fellow teammates. Every effort counts in making camp a success!
An ODACian patiently guides a fellow member in mastering the square lash, a fundamental skill in outdoor pioneering. With every knot tied, they build confidence, resilience, and camaraderie!
Step by step, ODACians make their way to the water, kayaks in hand and determination in their hearts. With fitness as a key pillar of this CCA, every effort prepares them for the adventure ahead.
From the first pedal stroke to this moment, ODACians have cycled through fatigue, sweat, and determination. Eight hours later, they stand together, the glittering skyline of Gardens by the Bay behind them—proof of their endurance and unbreakable spirit!
